TOURNAMENT GRADE TIPS AND TRICKS: A CRANKBAIT TIP TO HELP REDUCE FISH LOSS

Much of the bass around the country are heading into their prespawn mode or are already there! During these times, bass typically stage and are waiting for the right time to make their move shallow. One of the most popular and successful ways to capitalize on these big prespawners is with a lipless crankbait. These lures come in a variety of sizes.  If you're one of those anglers who prefer to throw a bait with a larger profile (1/2oz or 3/4oz), there is a downfall. Due to the heavier weight, these larger rattlebaits tend to give bass leverage. This provides them a greater opportunity to throw or shake free from the treble hooks.

We've all been there! A solid largemouth inhales your crankbait and you carefully work the fish around the boat. A few seconds later, the bass jumps and your lure comes flying back at you - HEARTBREAK!   Watch what FLW Phantom Pro Buddy Gross does to help combat this issue and land more fish.
